Boris Johnson Ends Holiday To Join Race To Regain No10

Senior Tories are trying to broker a face-to-face meeting between Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak in a bid to end the bloodletting engulfing the party - as the former Prime Minister ended his holiday in the Dominican Republic and took an overnight flight back to London in the race for the keys to No10.

Mr Johnson is understood to be willing to meet his estranged former chancellor in the hope of burying the hatchet and thrashing out a deal to govern together.#ReadFullMoonUpdatez#

​ Patrons of VIP JEOUN Transport Service will, from Monday, October 24, 2022, pay more for services provided by the transport company. The upward adjustment in fares charged by the company was announced in a statement issued by the management of VIP JEOUN Transport on Sunday evening. “VIP JEOUN Transport announces for the attention of the travelling public new fares effective on Monday 24/10/2022 at 07:00 hours GMT,” the company added in the statement. This comes on the back of plans by the Ghana Road Transport Union (GPRTU) to  increase transport fares  on Monday. Various driver unions had demanded a 40% upward review of the fares they charge following the continuous rise in fuel prices in Ghana. Currently, diesel and petrol are selling for over GH¢15 and GH¢13 respectively at major fuel pumps; a situation transport operators say is eroding their profit. ​ The Director of Planning at the Water Resources Commission, Dr. Bob Alfa says Ghana is already importing water. Speaking at the Citi TV’s Roundtable Discussion on Galamsey, Mr. Alfa said: “I hear people say all the time that if we don’t take time, we will soon import water. When we say Ghana is importing water, we often look at the physical importation but on the face of it, that is already happening. We are importing labour and tools into our water supply mechanisms.” “Whatever we consume is produced with water and if you don’t develop your water resources, and then you import some country’s products, what you are importing is what they have done as far as their water development is concerned,” he explained.
